BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Filipovic is an oncology expert, with extensive, two-decade clinical and leadership experience across medical and biotech sectors. She has been recognized as the top 100 influential women in oncology globally in 2025. Dr Filipovic graduated from medical school at the Faculty of Medicine University of Nis, Serbia, and completed her PhD in cancer cell biology at Imperial College in London, UK. Following this, she received a fellowship from Imperial College for the continuation of her postdoctoral translational research and continued clinical practice in medical oncology. She has now established a practice focused on bringing the whole person back into personalized care.

AREAS OF INTEREST

An oncology expert, with extensive clinical and leadership experience, Dr. Filipovic has been leading oncology programs of novel drug development at PureTech Health since 2015 and previously served as associate medical director of Bristol Myers Squibb (New York) for early phase (I and II) oncology and immuno-oncology clinical trials. She was also a medical doctor on staff for AstraZeneca’s Phase III immune-oncology programs.

Dr. Filipovic is an honorary lecturer at Imperial College London, faculty member at the European School of Oncology (ESO), associate editor for Frontiers in Oncology, as well as a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC), the Society of Integrative Oncology (SIO) and the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC), as well as the Host for the OncoDaily podcast: Into the Body, with Dr Aleks and has been awarded an Excellence in Healthcare award.
