Mr Ayman Khaier is a highly experienced and knowledgeable consultant ophthalmic surgeon with over 25 years of clinical and surgical experience in ophthalmology and ophthalmic surgery. He has a special interest in neuro-ophthalmology, paediatric ophthalmology, strabismus, and cataract surgery. Based in London, he has over 25 years’ experience in his specialty and provides high-quality consultancy and surgery from his private clinics.

Mr Khaier studied medicine at Damascus University Medical School, qualifying in 1991 with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He subsequently proceeded to train in ophthalmology in Damascus, Liverpool, and London specialising in Paediatric ophthalmology and Neuro ophthalmology at Great Ormond Street Hospital, and Moorfields Eye Hospital.

He is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist with interest in paediatric and neuro ophthalmology at Queen’s Hospital, Romford. He has extensive experience in managing patients with disorders of the optic nerve, ocular motility, thyroid eye disease, and performs all types of strabismus surgery and treatments. In addition to this, Mr Khaier also has extensive experience in managing patients with a wide variety of other conditions, including cataracts. Mr Khaier is also involved in the training and teaching of ophthalmic trainees and Neuro ophthalmology fellows at Queen’s Hospital.
